Need a Place to Meet and Work — Try the Study Rooms at the Library

Do you need someplace to meet a client or coworker and the coffee shop isn’t going to be conducive to the task at hand? Check out your local library. Libraries are fantastic resources for the budding entrepreneur, freelancers, travelers, anyone working out of their home.

Libraries provide access to a phenomenal amount of information online and in print. They also offer many physical resources, including computers, copiers, printers, Wifi and a quiet place to work. Many libraries also have study rooms or tutor rooms where you can work by yourself or with a small number of others. These study rooms have a table and chairs, maybe a white board. The usual time limit is 2 hours a day and some allow you to reserve the room in advance.

The new library in Glenwood Springs http://www.gcpld.org/locations/glenwood-springs-branch is a fantastic facility with several study rooms that you can be used on a first come first serve basis for up to 2 hours a day. The are working on a reservation process.

This is my short list of libraries that I’ve used around the area. Are there study rooms at your local branch? What other resources have you found useful at the library?
